The Havens 10 top tips for brides part TWO

Louise Tallon, from The Haven Beauty and Holistic Clinic, in Shillelagh gives weddingsireland top tips for beautiful brides.

6 – Make sure appointments are made for appropriate times (i.e. hairdresser doesn’t overlap makeup artist) and you and your group arrive in plenty of time. A lot of wedding day stress is based on lack of time management. If you leave gaps between appointments to allow for delays, you will arrive at the church a much calmer bride!

7 – All eyes will be on the ring so nails must be immaculate! A full manicure is advisable to soften and hydrate the skin and to tidy cuticles. If your nails are very short or bitten, there are lots of natural-looking stick-on nails available or for something that lasts a little longer try acrylics or gel nails.

8 – Have your eyelashes tinted or eyelash extensions to avoid using mascara. Always have a patch test at least 48 hours in advance of first time tinting or if you change salons.

9 – Don’t forget about your feet especially if you are wearing sandals. Remove the hard skin around the heels and outer foot with a foot file and moisturize with a rich foot cream.

10 – Have a friend or family member carry essentials for touch ups during the day itself, e.g. oil blotting sheets, powder, concealer, highlighter, lip gloss, hairspray, tissues and deodorant.
