Most people dream about having a ‘fairytale wedding’ but others might prefer a sci-fi one! At Jonathan Wollack and Rose Coe’s wedding everything was fiction apart from their vows to live happily ever after.
The US couple married in a sci-fi/ fantasy themed wedding at the Knoxville Convention Center, in Tennessee. The groom dressed as Boba Fett from Star Wars and all the guests attended the ceremony also dressed up as Star Wars and other sci-fi characters.
Among family, friends and onlookers, there was also a mysterious intruder also dressed as Boba Fett. When asked if there were any objections to the marriage, the Boba Fett in the audience said ‘Yes’, went up to the couple and pushed the groom aside, to everybody’s shock.
The intruder lifted his helmet to reveal who he really was: Jeremy Bulloch, who played Boba Fett in some of the ‘Stars Wars’ movies! Bulloch was in town and decided to surprise the happy couple.
The bride knew Bulloch would be making an appearance but the groom was caught off guard by the sudden ‘competition’ for the groom’s part.
Wollack and Coe had met at a gathering of the 501st, an international ‘Star Wars’ fan group.
This year, ‘Star Wars’ celebrates its 30th anniversary.
