From an early age, Jenni Woolfson knew she would own her own company one day. She didn’t know when, how or what it would be, but she knew. Woolfson is the founder of events management company Posh Fizz, which caters for hen weekends throughout Ireland and Madrid.
After graduating, she worked in the Financial Services industry for four years in Dublin and London but the roles weren’t fulfilling her inner-entrepreneur. Posh Fizz was on the way.
A close friend came recommended her a four-week course called SHOESïƒ ¤. “It was a pilot course designed for women leaders who were not reaching their potential in work. So I decided to give it a go.”
Woolfson finished her job in the bank in April 2006 and spent the following two months researching and planning the packages for her new business targeting girls looking for fun. Posh Fizz launched in Summer 2006 and has literally taken the hen party market by storm since then!
“It’s all about the personal touch with Posh Fizz. We tailor each package to suit the client’s needs and work with the bridesmaids from start to finish and create the perfect hen weekend. Everything is organised for the girls, from transport to accommodation, day activities to pre-dinner cocktails, meals to VIP nightclub entrance.”
A couple of companies have sprung up recently offering a similar service. “However, Posh Fizz clients say we are unique as the packages are tailored to suit the guests. We can accommodate groups where half want to stay for the whole weekend and a couple only want to stay for one night. We can look after the younger guests who want to learn how to pole dance, whilst organising pampering for the older guests,” she explains. “We also add in personal touches along the way.”
The future is looking bright and sparkly for Posh Fizz. The company is in ‘constant expansion’ around Ireland. The aim is having at least one package per county by April 2008 as well as adding three new European City packages to the menu. Within five years, the plan is having five Posh Fizz packages in every county in Ireland and one package in every European city.
