Fed up with wedding invitations? Short of cash? Or just can’t be bothered? You might consider placing an ad in the local press to let everybody know. That is what a Buenos Aires couple did to stop getting invited to weddings.
Too many wedding weekends, too much timing spent driving and not much enjoyment. That’s why Adolfo Caballero and his wife paid for an ad on the social pages of major Argentine newspaper La Nacion to ask people NOT to invite them to their wedding celebrations.
Enough was enough and the couple’s saturated social calendar was taking its toll on the 60 year olds’ lifestyle. On top of that, attending weddings was getting between Mr. Caballero and his love for tennis on Sundays.
