Newlywed in anger management situation

Fiction can sometimes imitate real live. A newlywed will spend three months in prison after being involved in an ‘air rage’ incident, like in the movie ‘Anger management’.

 

The man was flying back from his honeymoon in Mexico. The angry newlywed, Scott Watson, caused his Manchester-bound plane to divert to Shannon Airport which has cost the airline over â‚ ¬13,000.

 

Watson engaged in threatening behavious on the flight and was arrested at Shannon by gardai. He was taken to Athenry District Court where he pleaded guilty to the air rage charges.

 

Watson has been sentenced to three months in jail and a fine of â‚ ¬500, as he has seven similar convictions in the UK.

 

The Court heard that that Watson was also convicted in the UK last month due to threatening behaviour and was ordered to do 60 hours of community service as well as fined  £60.
