Costa del Sol catholic churches will host masses in five different languages as well as Spanish.
The local church authorities in Costa del Sol have decided to end the exclusive use of Spanish in masses, weddings, baptisms, funeral services and communions in the region, reports the newspaper Sur.
Some of the churches in the area have been using English in the past years but now up to other languages will be also used (French, German, Dutch and Italian). The step aims to promote the Catholic Church among tourists visiting the area.
Tourists will be able to follow religious services in their language and manuals for confessions, baptisms, weddings and mass will be also available in English, French, German, Dutch and Italian.
Approximately twenty different churches in the province of Malaga are used regularly by a dozen different religions.
