Bridal Jewellery and hair accessory trends for 2010

Bridal Jewellery and hair accessory trends for 2010

2010 is the year where jewellery and hair accessories are almost the key element of the bridal look. Bold, striking necklaces and hair accessories are making a style statement on the catwalks. Veils seem to be less popular this season and are replaced by everything from mini top hats and pill boxes to retro beaded hairbands.

Why choose a hair accessory or jewellery that can only be worn for one day of your life – even if you love to keep it as a future heirloom? Cheryl Cole recently wowed the Xfactor audiences by wearing a Jenny Packham beaded hairband with an evening dress. You may not get to wear your wedding dress again but think how much you’ll enjoy wearing your jewellery or hair accessories on a special night out.

Colour is another strong element in many 2010 bridal dress collections. The focus is on striking ribbon or beaded elements. Black detailing can be seen in many collections. Another popular colour trend is for the bride to wear coloured shoes. Again, if you have a strong colour theme, why not reflect this in your shoes? You know you’ll never dye those ivory satin shoes afterwards!

Now is the perfect time to go for something beautiful in your hair to really customise your bridal look. If you wear something you love with confidence then your own sense of style will shine through!
