Back when women were second class citizens and men were men… even though they wore sandals and skirts.

Outfit

• A couple of options here, depending on how much effort you want to make. Take your pick from Gladiators, Caesar or Roman servants, but make sure your stag stands out from the bucks.
• Sheets or togas
• Sandals
• Gladiator costumes (realistically lads, you've just got to hire these outfits- your Granny's pleated skirt just won't do).

Props

• Sword and shield for the Gladiators

Something for the stag

• Laurel wreath for the Caesar stag's head.
• Short curly wig for the stamp of Caesars true authority.
• Sword and shield if he's the only Gladiator.

Challenges

•  Demand a serving wench brings a full goblet of wine to your table. Keep going until either someone actually gets it for you, or you get tired of being continuously slapped in the face.
• Rack up your sex appeal by getting a buxom serving wench to draw some chest hair on you with her eyeliner.
• Name ten films featuring the Romans for a reward of your bucks' choice.
• Organise your bucks to join you in a chariot race to the next bar(if you don't have horses and chariots then you'll have to make do with piggybacks). The losers buy the next round.
• Order one of your bucks to be your point man… he must convince a nubile goddess to come and administer your drink to you in a manner of her choice.
• Deliver these winning one-liners throughout the night:

*    Friends, Romans, countryman… (when your ordering a round
      at the bar)  [Julius Caesar, Shakespeare]

*    At my signal, unleash hell! (Use this as a signal to down your 
      drinks) [Gladiator]
