Just wondering what other bride's opinion on this are? .... having a backdrop (sheet of fairylights) that hangs from ceiling behind the band as a nice focal point when music starts but costs approx €600 for night (installation, hire, delivery etc.) Not sure if this is just an extra cost I don't need or would it be a nice feature?

Its seems a bit expensive for what it is - it'll prob be nice on the night (but will anyone notice) - usually stages are lit up a lot anyway! Have you seen one done before? You could maybe pay extra for decorations of the venue without spending anything along those lines!!!!!

I agree that it would be nice but in my opinion an unnecessary expense. Even if people did notice they would assume that it was belonging to the band or the hotel and not a nice touch that you paid for. I would put the €600 towards extra nice favours that everyone will know is a gift from you!

My brother got married in the summer and I danced the night away. I then booked the band for my wedding and have to say that I dont even know what they look like!
