Default Entrance Music at Church

Hi. Just wondering if any brides have chosen their entrance song yet? If so, would you mind letting me know what song you chose please

Fields of Gold - instrumental. I like the words of it. I wanted something different from "Here comes the Bride" although I haven't ask the priest for permission on it yet.

This might sound a bit stupid but i had the theme tune to the Eurovision (the one we watch on RTE anyway). Its a bit different and people will be wondering where they heard it before. Its a great instrumental piece. Heres a link to you tbe to hear a version of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikM5p6eT-HU

Default Non religious music??

I didn't know you could choose a non religious song as you entered the church! Are you sure about that?? That would be great!

You would really need to check with your priest about the music. Some are ok with non religous others are strict enough about it. We had Come What May from Moulin Rouge as this was the first movie we watched together. The words seemed apt for the day too. "Never knew I could feel like this. Like I'd never seen the sky before. Want to vanish inside your kiss. Everyday I love you more and more. Listen to my heart, can't you hear it sing, Telling me to give you everything. Seasons may change winter to spring, but I'll love you until the end of time. Come what may, I will love you until my dying day" Also Nella Fantasia (aka Gabriels Oboe) is nice and there is O Mio Babbino Caro. But the singer must be competent to sing these. They are not the easiest of songs to sing.

My two sister's had 1} O Happy Day, which is a good mix of gospel, lively and religious and the other won had The Voyage by Christy Moore. Neither had any problems. Both of them had singers for them I think. I think the "Fields of Gold" instrumental sounds lovely. Not sure I would use it as an entrance song, as it is a bit slow and calm, but I would try and find a place for it. It's really nice.
