I’m a U.S. citizen planning a symbolic wedding ceremony in Ireland. For legal reasons, my fiancee and I will be getting married in the States, but we both love Ireland and would like to have a symbolic ceremony there (very short with one of our friends conducting the ceremony). We’ve already contacted one venue, and they’ve told us that this is not allowed.
Does anyone know of a venue (preferably in Galway) that would allow such a ceremony?
Many thanks in advance.
Since you will be legally married, you should be able to do thins anywhere. In essance you are having a big party celebrating your wedding and your friends are saying a few words in your honour. Look into Glenlo Abbey or Zetland House Hotel. Both are absolutely beautiful locations.
