With over 20,000 visitors per month, Privateseller.ie is Ireland's largest dedicated private property sales website. Like a dating site, privateseller.ie introduces people, not looking for love but a dream house.
Privateseller.ie was founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Fiona Mcloughlin. The whole idea behind the website is helping people sell their property for flat and reasonable fees.
The success of the company is based on the fact that people can sell their homes successfully themselves, just with a little assistance, without costing thousands on commission. Therefore making property a little bit more accessible to first-time buyers too!
"With Privateseller.ie people are selling privately….but not on their own! We are saving sellers thousands on commission. Our flat fees reflect the effort required to sell your property and are not linked (unfairly) to its value. On an average house price of €300,000, where commissions can range from 1.5 percent to almost 3 percent plus VAT, the average saving in the region of €5,000. This is a very compelling reason for house sellers to consider listing on the site," explains McLoughlin.
The company introduces individuals trying to sell their houses to other person, seeking property in Ireland or/and abroad.
Traffic to the property site tripled, and in some months quadrupled, in 2006. Privateseller.ie continues to grow on a daily basis, powered by Ireland's leading Internet Infrastructure Provider - hosting365.
"The growth of privateseller.ie over the past year has been amazing. We are very pleased to be part of that and contribute to privateseller.ie's success," says Ed Byrne, marketing director for hosting365.
The website is going from strength to strength. Since last year, privateseller.ie has been featured in publications, TV and Radio all over the country. Fiona Mcloughlin has been featured as an emerging entrepreneur in the Irish Entrepreneur magazine, Image magazine featured her on a list of Ireland's leading female entrepreneurs and Privateseller.ie featured on the Prime Time Investigates program as an alternative to selling property through auctioneers.
The company is also introducing a new and exclusive newsletter for members and keeps expanding. "Privateseller.ie has nine associates to deliver the Privateseller.ie associate service nationwide with people applying for associate positions almost daily. We will have at least one associate in every county," explains Mcloughlin.
